Over the past several years millions of families have lost their homes and in some cases have not been able to find affordable rental housing that accepts pets. Many of these pets have ended up at local animal shelters and for too many it was a one way trip.
Our focus is to help rental home owners understand the benefits of leasing to pet owners and to help pet owners manage the responsibility of caring for their pets and the rental home they are living in. Through our “Pet Friendly Rental Homes” effort, the pet (and it’s owner) get a new home while the landlord gets a responsible tenant and a better financial return on their investment.

A word about the quilt in the header artwork . . .
At our local animal shelter, adopted pets are dressed up with a bandana to wear when they are released to their new home. The colorful graphic in the header above is a quilt made by members of the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club from scraps lefts over when making some of these bandanas. The quilt was won by raffle at an Animal Friends of the Valleys “Wines For Canines” Fido Fashion Show. Wines For Canines was attended by several members of the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club Animal Advocates Committee, which offers a great deal of support to Animal Friends of the Valleys throughout the year, inclusive of decorating the animal shelter at Christmastime. The quilt now hangs in our office in Temecula Old Town at 41973 6th St. It’s a beautiful piece of work and we invite you to come and see it.
